About Dr. Zarefah Farraj-Ahmad, DPM

Dr. Zarefah Farraj-Ahmad is a podiatric medical surgeon committed to helping patients move without pain and stay active for the long term. A high school valedictorian, she completed her undergraduate studies at Rider University before earning her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. During her time at Temple, she trained in the university’s renowned Gait Study Center, gaining a strong foundation in biomechanics and gait analysis. She then completed a three-year surgical residency at Roxborough Memorial Hospital in Philadelphia, where she received extensive training in foot and ankle surgery, sports medicine, biomechanics, and diabetic limb preservation.
Dr. Farraj-Ahmad is especially passionate about biomechanics and custom orthotics. She takes a patient-centered, prevention-focused approach—listening carefully, explaining options clearly, and creating treatment plans that restore function while protecting long-term foot health.
She welcomes patients for a full range of foot and ankle concerns, including heel pain and plantar fasciitis, bunions and hammertoes, Achilles and ankle injuries, flat feet and overpronation, and diabetic foot care.
In her spare time, Dr. Farraj-Ahmad enjoys cooking, hiking, sewing, and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Farraj-Ahmad now sees patients at our Hamilton – Whitehorse/Mercerville and Hamilton – Olden Ave locations, with a third Hamilton office opening soon.
